Will be in full hiking gear ready for a day of action.

Join us for a full day of adventure, fun and comraderie as we explore this natural treasure. We'll be departing from various points around the Southland and meet up at the Joshua Tree Visitor center at 10 am (see address and directions below) and then caravan to the park entrance for a full day of hiking and exploring. Hikes will be easy to moderate and maybe we'll have time for a few short ones plus lunch before returning, probably by early evening.

We will need to pay $15/car for entry to the park. Bring basic hiking gear like a good hat, sunscreen, appropriate clothing, water bottles or waterpack, backpack, hiking boots and shoes, extra socks and shoes to change into after the hike, snacks and lots of water. Also bring some cash for food and to reimburse drivers for gas.

I live in N. Hollywood and was wondering if anyone else is up here and could take the 210 freeway which cuts off a ton of time.

    •  10 STARS! Amazing and beautiful National Park. I'm so glad everyone who came out had a wonderful time. Special thanks to DJ for coming to my rescue with extra batteries for my digital camera! Everyone, please post your photos once James has added the albums.
    •  Hiking was great but this was the most disorganized Meet Up event I've ever attended. We got started 1.5 hours late because several people couldn't follow directions. I doubt if I'll hike with this group again.
    •  Fue un dia perfecto para disfrutar este lugar unico y escenico. Me encanta Joshua Tree!

Joshua Tree was amazing. The landscape looked prehistoric. Everyone was really nice on the hike. Thanks James & Gladys for organizing this hike.
