My name is Andy Coyne and I'm an American attorney living in Paris. I organize three Meetup groups here -- Expats Paris, which is the largest Meetup in Paris, the Paris Meetup Organizers' group and a group for an American organization called the Association of Americans Resident Overseas. I understand that you organize a Spanish language Meetup group in Cincinnati.

Although I currently live in Paris, I have spent a lot of time in Spain and various parts of Latin America. Like you and your members, I use every opportunity available to me to stay connected to the Spanish language and Spanish and Latin American culture.

The reason I am writing is that I wanted to tell you about something that we are starting to use here in Paris that may interest you, as a way to better connect to other Spanish-speakers throughout the world. It is called InterNations and, although it is very different from Meetup, it is popular among a lot of the same people using Meetup.

InterNations is a social networking site for expats and other "global minds", i.e., people with international interests, perspectives and contacts. InterNations is useful for a lot of things -- from making friends to finding jobs to making business connections. You can also use it to create local groups, both for online discussion and offline events.

InterNations is by invitation only, but I have set up a special invitation link that anyone can use to join. So to register, just go to internations.org/andy (http://www.internatio....

Saludos,

Andy
