For Elementary Level: Goya at the Hispanic Society!

Hola amigos!...

Come to the Hispanic Society of America with The New York Spanish Language Meetup for a class-museum visit. This will be a fun way to learn Spanish, I am sure you will greatly enjoy this!.

This class-visit will be given by Rocío Duque, a professional and well experienced Spanish Language teacher who is also a native speaker. As any class-visit, focus is on learning Spanish while having fun and enjoying art.

HOW THIS WORKS

We will meet at the Hispanic Society of America. Elementary level/basic knowledge of Spanish is needed to take part in the event.

This event has been carefully designed to expose Elementary Spanish students to learn Spanish while being exposed to famous painters from the Spanish speaking world.

Class-visit will last 90 minutes. At the end of the event important information about our upcoming Spanish courses for elementary students will be given out.

CONTENT

We´ll learn about Francisco de Goya y Lucientes(1746-1828), who was a Spanish painter and printmaker. He has been regarded both as the last of the Old Masters and as the first of the moderns. Participants will be engaged in very interactive activities with an experienced instructor and among themselves. This event will be a great opportunity to learn new vocabulary and specific points of Spanish grammar such as: uses of the verbs Ser and Estar (present tense) ; adjectives (gender and number) and some notions about the uses of Por and Para.

WHERE TO MEET:

At the lobby of the Society´s main building. I will be wearing the our group´s badge:

CLASS-VISIT STARTS at 12.30 PM - Please be there at 12.10 PM. Class-visit starts at 12.30 pm sharp and ends at 2 pm. After the class-visit, we will go for lunch together to a nearby latin restaurant and get to know each other!.

GROUP of 20 students.

COST: $20 in advance (via PayPal or Google Checkout), which includes admission to class + printout with excercises to be completed during the class + pencil. Museum admission is free. Price at event will be $25 if space is available. Your RSVP is only valid if you pay in advance. First 20 members who pay $20 will have a guaranteed spot in the class-visit.
