I am a native Spanish speaker originally from Cuba. I speak Italian fluently also, since I lived in Rome for 5 years. My son is Italian and used to speak Italian fluently when we arrived in the US. But just like you, he forgot his Italian and remember only a few words. He still understands a lot, fortunately. If you want I can help you with both Spanish and Italian languages.
