About Mercer County Improving Spanish Speakers

Most of the world, at least where commerce is concerned, has adapted to accommodate English. Americans therefore, usually have the "luxury" of not actually needing secondary language skills.

And yet, for the people who choose to do so, acquiring skills in a second or third language is one of the best ways to increase understanding and affinity with other cultures. It is also a personal acknowledgement of the fact that we are citizens of a broader global community. Language skills are also very empowering, practical, and sexy!

This group is for people who, for practical, avocational or ideological purposes, want to improve (or simply retain) their Spanish language skills through regular practice in a mostly informal, conversational forum.
