"Amigos del español" is an unique opportunity to meet, interact, discuss and get to know others who have a passion and interest for the Hispanic Culture. We meet once or twice a month at different venues in Atlanta and we have a great time practicing and expanding our knowledge of the Spanish language and culture. We welcome all kinds of people, from High beginners to native Speakers. *Yes, at least you should know basic vocabulary and structure to practice with others. Otherwise your experience will be frustrating. It´s a very relaxed, friendly environment, where you can practice at ease your vocabulary, polish your structures and learn different perspectives and points of view based on personal experience.
We usually meet for at least two hours and we have lots of fun! You have to pay for your own food and drinks and there is a little fee to support the emailing and posting service offered by Meet up.
There is not FORMAL TRAINING, you don´t have to prepare for the Meet up session. You do not have to study, do homework or bring any books. You may bring a dictionary if you think it´s helpful!
I, as a group leader, make sure, we have a nice venue, that is somehow related to the Hispanic culture, where we can meet and have fun. I help newcomers get adjusted with their meetings and introduce them to other people. I help you with vocabulary words you may need and sometimes I also help you with your food selection. I keep you posted on everything we are doing, on when, where the next event takes place and so on..

Please keep in mind, that our learning and practice takes place "face to face". We do not support people who join the group asking others to email them if they want to practice Spanish! Also we are not a dating service agency! You may end up finding your "media-naranja" (soul mate) but that´s not the main reason to attend this kind of events!
